Please carefully review the Grant Guidelines here to determine if your proposal aligns with the Don Wood Foundation’s grantmaking priorities.
We welcome nonprofit organizations to submit an application for our Camps, Clubs, and Competitions grant programs via our online Grant Portal here.
We invite teams that have qualified for regional, state, or national competitions to submit an application for assistance to attend the event here.
The Don Wood Foundation does not limit the number of grants that can be awarded to a single organization in any given year. For example, if an organization has already received a Camps, Clubs, and Competitions Program grant for their robotics team and has advanced to a national competition, the organization may again apply for a grant to help all participating students compete. Furthermore, if an organization has received a grant through our Rolling Grant Program, the organization is still eligible to apply for a Camps, Clubs, and Competitions grant.
Application Timeline
The Don Wood Foundation accepts Camps, Clubs, and Competitions grant applications at any time. Grant award decisions for the Camps, Clubs, and Competitions program are made monthly.

Outcomes
The Don Wood Foundation will evaluate applications based on anticipated outcomes related to the following:
- Curriculum is related to technology, engineering, or entrepreneurship – Programming should incorporate age-appropriate, hands-on, participant-driven curriculum.
- Integration of noncognitive skill-building - Programming should develop participants’ leadership, teamwork, collaboration, verbal and nonverbal communication, agency, self-determination, problem-solving, and creative process.
- Inclusivity - Participation in the program should be affordable, inclusive, and accessible.
If a grant is awarded, the grantee will be asked to submit an Outcomes Report sharing the progress made during the grant period in attaining the outcomes. The Don Wood Foundation will consider renewing a grant for the program after receiving an acceptable Outcomes Report.
