Lisa Smith
|
Lisa Smith joined the Don Wood Foundation as the Program Officer Post-Secondary Attainment in October 2023. Given her strong history in higher education and as her title alludes, Lisa works closely with potential grantees primarily in career and technical education, and the post-secondary education sectors. Lisa’s 13 years with Ivy Tech Community College in various roles such as director of community engagement and assistant director of community outreach, corporate trainer and program consultant expanded her visibility as a representative for Ivy Tech in Whitley and Huntington counties. Her community-mindedness and leadership skills give her an edge as she forges relationships here.
Lisa serves on numerous boards for Whitley and Huntington counties. Among her many community commitments, Lisa recently served as the board president for the Whitley County Economic Development Corporation. She received her B.S. degree in elementary education from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

“I am excited to help guide potential grantees towards opportunities that will not only benefit them, but also their greater community.”
