The graph above provides a breakdown of student CTE enrollments in manufacturing, precision machining, welding, automation and robotics, and engineering courses in Northeast Indiana for the last two school years. Northeast Indiana high school students enrolled in CTE courses are surveyed each year to gauge the degree to which they are exploring, understanding, and preparing for a career. The surveys also shed light on how much students know about local occupations and industries, their perceptions of those careers, and what barriers they may be experiencing in preparing for future success. While a broad range of CTE students were surveyed, the data shown here summarizes career and technical education (CTE) student responses in 1) advanced manufacturing, welding, precision machining, industrial maintenance; 2) information technology, computer programming, networking; and 3) STEM, Project Lead the Way.
