Camps, Clubs, & Competitions

A forward-thinking investment: Camps, Clubs, and Competitions
The Don Wood Foundation’s Camps, Clubs, and Competitions Program is designed to expand access to hands-on STEAM* experiences and career exploration for young people across northeast Indiana, helping students explore and connect to the careers of the future through camps, clubs, and other skill-building programs.
At its core, the program reflects a belief we strongly hold: the most effective workforce strategies are built collectively—and they begin early. By bringing together schools, industry leaders, training partners, and community organizations, these coalitions create high-quality, hands-on learning experiences that help students persist in education, develop durable skills, and make informed decisions about their futures. This long-term investment in youth strengthens people, communities, and regional prosperity by equipping young learners with the foundational skills needed to navigate real-world challenges and opportunities.
As part of this continued focus, we updated our program guidelines to better align with our strategic direction and encourage you to review them and apply if your program is a good fit.
*STEAM is a cohesive learning experience that emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
