5 County CTE Study (2024)

Building the Future Workforce

How Career and Technical Education Is Creating Opportunity Across Five Northeast Indiana Counties

Spanning Adams, Grant, Huntington, Wabash, and Wells counties, this five-county study takes a closer look at how Career and Technical Education can open doors for students while helping employers meet the demands of a changing economy. Led by the Don Wood Foundation in partnership with TPMA, the research highlights the strengths already shaping the region’s CTE landscape, along with the challenges and opportunities that will define what comes next. Drawing on district data and perspectives from educators, employers, higher education leaders, and students, the findings underscore the need for stronger alignment, smart investment, and regional collaboration to build a more connected talent pipeline and a stronger workforce for northeast Indiana.
